Moving Love

Moving Love was originally performed by Suzanne and David Armistead, and artists from the Austin community at One World Theater in Austin, Texas as a means to initiate healing after their son Justin Davis Armistead’s passing. It was the artful expression of the story of infinite love, lived by Suzanne and David for Davis and each other.

Beginning as Suzanne and David’s expression of love for their son, it became, in the performance, an avenue for the entire room to heal their grief through art. Moving Love is an artistic expression in which we open up to art for healing.

The original Moving Love was the germinal space for InstillMovement, the umbrella expression for Suzanne’s movement work. Through living in love and actualizing the potential for a paradigm shift from darkness to light, Moving Love opened a path to grieving by healing-through-art. It became a new way for birthing love out of heartache. That love became the grounds for celebration of life fully lived.
