Slowing Down From Warp Speed

So many of us are so accomustomed to being stuck in our mind and doing work trapped in that space, rushing endlessly around and unaware of just how to stop our body and mind. And so a sitting meditation is out of the question, we can’t immediately go from one end of the spectrum to the other.

What if we could learn to move in stillness, to still our mind, instead of expecting our mind to still our body when our mind has forgotten how to stop.

Suzanne, I have been experimenting with the very slow movements you suggest. I have noticed that if I can watch the movements happening in stillness, a large amount of ‘tension’ in the muscles releases. this is new. I have done everything from EST to Tapping to the Sedona method….all good but for almost instant results what you offer is pretty special, and you willingness to share. I am going to continue and see where it takes me. I have several long term issues, Maybe this relaxing can help.

    • Hi David,

Glad you are trying this. It is very immediate if you can do what you are doing which is focus and feel. When I say “feel”, I mean to sense what you are feeling. It is sensing the physical response you are evoking when doing the movement that opens up release. It is very empowering toward resting yourself, and as you said it is good for releasing tension in the muscles.

There are other benefits, too. When you release tension in the muscles, you are opening up constriction which blocks the flow of energy that moves through your body along certain pathways, and helps that energy flow. When you focus and feel/sense in this way, you are using “presence”, “awareness”, or, your mind to heal yourself.

I facilitate classes in people’s homes with small groups and I do one on one sessions with people if that is of interest to you.
